AC300, water heater, well pump in off grid cabin

Looking for some advice. I have an AC300 system in an off grid cabin connected to a solar array. I am looking into adding a water heater and well pump. Assuming I can get a hold of a water heater and well pump that both operate off 120 VAC and under 20 amps – can I safely just plug them into one of the front outlets? I recognize they will suck up a lot of energy, so will probably need to buy more battery. But my question is one of safety… Would it be safest to plug them in via a surge protector? GFCI? My knowledge of basic electricity is pretty limited. Thanks.

I would simply plug them straight into the AC300 just as you would for any household outlet

Yes, as described in @wtytke in his splendidly detailed post (see link below), GFCI plugs are a must. Here in EU, I ordered plugs with a built-in breaker so I’m safe in case of 5mA and avoid the Claude François effect.
